Bio-Oil Review - Will It Work For You? Let's Find Out!

There's no shame in admitting that we need help in reducing the appearance of scars, stretch marks, aging skin, and uneven skin tone. Stretch marks, one of the more difficult skin scars to remove, is caused by a rapid stretching of the skin during weight gain and or pregnancy. And while the body cannot, on its own, completely heal stretch marks, there are products on the market today that can be used on the body or face to eliminate the scarring all together. Think it's in your best interest to learn more about these products?

You’re right!

So, the question is, will Bio-Oil Stretch Marks reduce the visible signs of your stretch marks while reviving the elasticity of your skin, or are you better off saving your money?

Bio-Oil Stretch Mark Treatment is developed by a cGMP certified facility, and has received many reviews from its users over the course of its shelf life. These reviews, while generally mixed, have noted that Bio-Oil works far more effectively at removing scarring around the eyes rather than as a post-pregnancy stretch mark reducer. Bio Oil can be purchased from CVS and WalGreens. Overseas, it is available in stores like Boots and Priceline. 4.2oz of Bio-Oil costs $19.99, a high price for so little. The price, however, might be justified if indeed the product works just how it claims. To discover whether or not Bio-Oil is worth the asking price, let's compare its positives and negatives.

What's the Word On The Street, Then?

Thumbs Up

Bio-Oil, even if it cannot reduce the size or appearance of your stretch marks, never the less can make your skin feel smoother and more supple. It also seems capable of reducing the size of your stretch marks and scarring, though this does not apply to everyone according to customer reviews.

Thumbs Down

We noticed that Bio-Oil Stretch Mark solution took quite a bit of time to absorb into the skin. This may be due to, in large part, to the fact that it contains mineral oil. Many user reviews state that this product simply does not work for them, instead making their scars appear more profound and visible. Bio-Oil is also presented as being a medical option, when the formula itself is basically a scented baby oil.

You Have To Know What You're Putting On Your Body

When first beginning to review Bio-Oil Stretch Marks, we were very happy with the things we were seeing. But as time went on and we dug deeper, we found several glaring notes that make it impossible for us to recommend this product for use. While it is a very clean and safe to use product, Bio-Oil is essentially baby oil with a few other added ingredients. Its price is also somewhat absurd for the offered amount, at $19.99 for 4.2oz. We did however like the scent and softness it provided to the skin, but were otherwise underwhelmed when it came to the results of reducing stretch marks. There's simply too many other products on the market today that can deliver a reduction in stretch marks for far less.
